FOUNDATION OF THE CENTER

Mehmet Reis Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Center, is a dream come true, realized when a building in the complex behind the B. N. State Hospital, which was erected within the framework of “Yonca Project” in the 1990s and then left idle because the project was given up, was transferred into the name of our association by the Board of Ministers for the purpose of the establishment of a rehabilitation center.

Our Center, one of the rooms of which we gave as a gift to the School of Hearing Speaking Impaired to be used as a work room (after restoring and rearranging it according to their needs), was repaired, equipped, furnished and  prepared for service, with extraordinary efforts and self sacrificing work until it was opened on the 3^rd of December 2004 by the Minister of Labors and Social Securities  of the time Dr. Erkan Emekçi.

The Center, whose repair and equipment costs we could not even imagine to afford with our own financial status, was completed in one year with the generous contributions of around 20 benevolent individuals, institutions and organizations, the monthly donations of over 200 sponsors, whose names embellish the hall of our center, and the extraordinary efforts of our Board of Directors and it was furnished with the office and sports equipment sent by Han and Vim Van Ek brothers from Holland.
